Field Trip to Notre Dame

Saturday, November 4, 2023
REGISTRATION CLOSED

This free tour is a historical and social overview of life at the University of Notre Dame, with visits to the replica Lourdes Grotto, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Main Building (the Golden Dome), and the Hesburgh Library (“Touchdown Jesus”).

While this field trip is connected to the fall 2023 LANE course,
Our Lady and the Eldest Daughter of the Church, all people are welcome to attend whether they are taking the course or not.

We are arranging carpooling for participants who need a ride. All other participants will drive on their own and meet the group at Notre Dame. We suggest parking in one of the two lots by Hammes Bookstore or the visitor lot next to the Walsh Family Hall of Architecture. We will gather at 9 a.m. in the courtyard between Hammes Bookstore and the Eck Visitors Center. The tour will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. We will attend the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the crypt of the basilica before adjourning for the day. Click here for a map of campus.
