Field Trip to Notre Dame

Saturday, November 4, 2023

This free tour is a historical and social overview of life at the University of Notre Dame, with visits to the replica Lourdes Grotto, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Main Building (the Golden Dome), and the Hesburgh Library (“Touchdown Jesus”).

While this field trip is connected to the fall 2023 LANE course,
Our Lady and the Eldest Daughter of the Church, all people are welcome to attend whether they are taking the course or not. However, we do require everyone to RSVP by October 31.

We are doing a carpool from Our Lady of the Lake in Holland, MI, for those who would like to caravan to Notre Dame. The carpool will leave OLL promptly at 7 a.m. We will park in the visitor lot next to the Walsh Family Hall of Architecture and then gather at the Eck Visitors Center at 9 a.m. for the tour to begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. We will attend the 11:30 a.m. Mass in the crypt of the basilica before adjourning for the day. Click here for a map of campus.
